There have been times when the United States-Canadian border has been shut down. Our United States-Mexican border is a different story...

The virus is spreading rapidly here. I hope our previous jabs prevent the new variant
from being too harsh. It does seem one thing after another. Onions were supposed to keep colds at bay, but I guess it has gone out of fashion.

My favourite is pickled walnuts but it is a job to get them like we used to make them.
Yes, it is heavy going on the ground at present. We really ought to hoe all around the Dahlias. Perhaps after Christmas.

Hi, Kabu a chap I knew did not get any shots he has just died in the Hospital.
Sadly there are some weird notions always going around. I suppose it is difficult to
warn the minority who have their own beliefs. People are rushing to get tested before
Xmas, some seem determined to go abroad, the government has just lost a safe
seat. I think we might eventually have a larger Liberal Party.

Yes, raspberries really want thinning after a couple of years. Also, they need watering when in blossom and fruiting. . I hope all is going well. Pity I cannot send pickles by email.

The new variant is here too and spreading rapidly. Mainly the unvaccinated are having trouble. Everyone has been given excellent chance to be covered, so I am sorry but not going to waste time on their problems I do feel sorry for the staff.

I was about to claim I'd never eaten pickled onions when I remembered
slicing fresh onions and cucumbers in a bowl with vinegar water and a bit of sugar and finding it quite fresh and cooling. I hope your weather holds and the garden doesn't wear you down. Stay safe.

I hope you stay safe from the virus. Stay warm, eat well, and drink lots of fluids. The onions sound very interesting. I've never had them. We eat lots of onions but not this type of onions. We've got high winds and it's getting colder by the minute. I hope you have a good night.

Good afternoon
Raspberries are a strange plant that spreads like wildfire. We planted three varieties of raspberries a few years ago and now they are taking over our yard. Now, the animals seem to get to them before we do.
