You are such a giving and loving person. It is terrible for those who have to remember always and how these folks can ever recover the losses and go on is hard to imagine. Red Cross. Hmnnn maybe me too.

Re: Sassyass_64
I read some statements by Amazon workers in our local paper and the one by this driver's girlfriend that he was told not to leave. Possibly the manager thought he'd be safer in the building than on the road. Terrible situation.

Re: Goldiec
I have also been thinking how hard it is for the first responders - thank heaven there are people who will and can do this impossible job.

Good morning
My heart goes out to the victims and their families. I read an account from one Amazon employee who said that they weren't allowed to leave. Not sure how true this is, but the story can be read on the link below. For whatever reason, the holidays appear to be the time when these things happen. Maybe it's a reminder for people to come together during these times of destruction, pain, and need. I do love your mama's saying. I may have to use it here in the next few months of my life.

Good Morning
Pat, the destruction was truly heartbreaking and the deaths unimaginable. My heart goes out to everyone. I was watching the morning news and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Some buildings really did look like match sticks. I told my daughter that it looks like an F-4 or an F-5 but they haven't said up to this point. My daughter thought it must have been an F-4 but only time will tell. This is really going to be hard on the first responders because they will see things that will give them nightmares. I pray for all of them. When I was on my cert team we went out on a search for a missing elderly woman on a very cold day. We did not find her but the search dogs did find her and she was deceased. I couldn't sleep for three days because I was so upset for her and for her family. I know they do have counseling for First Responders and thank goodness they do.
