Oh, no.
Sixteen is a rough year for a teenager. It's made worse when the "real" father figure is MIA. I can so relate to this. This so happened to be the thing that perplexed me for years. Four step-dads always blocked me from the answer as to who my dad was and why he wasn't in my life. My chance to meet him came when I was almost sixteen, but he took his life before I could get on the airplane. I can't wait to see where you take this story.

Good morning
You have sent me straight back to another time with one simple word. My step-dad used to get on me for "lollygagging." When I was a kid, I had no clue what he meant by this, but I quickly learned after he yelled at me to get the led out and get moving.
