Brings back memories, all are hanging around somewhere. I guess we might all do things differently if we had the time again. Who knows it could have been even worse at least we did not have to worry about some of today's problems. although each generation has had to contend with some harsh facts..

I remember my sons discussing the first Iraq War, if their was a draft and their friends were going they too would sign up. I marched into the room they were in and told them I would keep them in someone's cellar rrather than see them go. Wqell it was all over quickly but I ne er did explain since they were over 17 I couldn't legally do that.

You have lived a life where many historic experiences were a big part of your world. This touches a bit on why you are such a fascinating person. You have lived it, seen & felt it, and survived it. I am thankful that you share it with us. History tends to get lost when people choose to ignore or destroy it. Hopefully, one day I can tell my great-grandchildren that I survived the COVID. This is nothing compared to your experience with two major wars, and several epidemics. Polio was a real biggy, so I have heard. May you continue to share your stories with us. Have a wonderful day.

Good afternoon
Your opening paragraph is 'seasoned' with sage advice where real-life interactions are concerned. Love it!

Re: Goldiec
You're right about Vietnam, etc. And those wars in the Middle East seem to be endlessly keeping us involved or at least on edge. Peace in our time, what a great idea!

Re: Annicita
I'd like to hear your ideas about what description you might use instead of interesting.

Good Morning
Pat, I grew up during the end of Vietnam. The thought of it is almost more than what I can take. Every day there was news of Vietnam and draft dodgers going over the border to Canada. Then there was Agent Orange that made so many of our troops sick. We had the shootings at Kent State. It was not a very good time in our history. I remember the one program I liked to watch was "Mash" although I'm not sure if it resembled what had taken place in Vietnam. I hope to never see a time like that again. In schools, there were hippies and greasers and "Woodstock" not to even mention drugs. I think times have changed but there are still so many issues. There's Iraq, Afghanistan, and all that took place there. Now we are fighting a war against COVID. It would be nice to have a few years of peace and tranquility. I hope you have a good day.

I'm not sure if I would call these interesting times.
