I too love Blogit. Wonderful friendships with folks I will probably never actually meet. Last year on my own and then when Wiley died, truly Blogit was what kept me sane.No there is no money to be made here but reading my friends and seeing dear Taps pop back in, that is worth much more than money.

TAPS, I just love your posts, especially this one. I agree with you. These days I can only pop in and pop out of Blogit. Like you, I just write things because I enjoy doing so. Thank you for writing this post.

Shama Sehar
Shama Sehar
(This one for my pen name,it's a repost)
Shama hoon Sehar ki
Umeed ki kiran hoon
Diloon ke chirag roshan hoonge
Yehi soch kar lekhtee hoon.
The above lines in Hindi mean.......
I am inspired by the thought that my work brings warmth, love and peace to other hearts, like the light of the day.
Wrote this 👆 long back but it explains why I write....🙂❣️

Good afternoon
I wholeheartedly agree with you. This is where I come to hone my writing skills or the lack of, talk with friends, learn new things, and ultimately, relax. I always find an enjoyable or educational read. I too am not here for money, I am here because I enjoy the varied interests, opinions, and attitudes.

I was always interested in writing Taps. I started eventually composing poems but
only held them in my mind. Of course, eventually, I began to have the struggle to
remember them so I had to jot them down on paper. On Bloggit we rarely get a
nasty reply. Sadly we have very few members but my subscription has been taken
recently so I assume it carries on.I still remember vividly a photo of you once in a
boxing stance. Also, one you sent with a crown missing. I did do a poor replica
and posted it, of course, I really liked your son the one I called Beef Stake. It is
always nice to read you.

I fell in love with reading before I could read. I would always try to read. I also loved to write even though I had no idea how to do it. I would make all these waves that were connected together mimicking my sister learning cursive. I started writing poetry in high school and have loved it ever since.

I like to think that some things I write give people a bit of fun in a
world that is increasingly full of worries and stressers. Just to lighten a moment now and then is a good thing. I always enjoy learning a little about what makes people tick (and tic). I always learn something from Blogit writers.

Good Morning
Taps, I loved your post this morning! It was delightful. I have to say the only reason I have ever written books or been on numerous writing sites is to make people smile. I hope that I have succeeded in what I set out to do. I've made so many friends along the way and I find that to be priceless. For the most part, I will say that writers are of like mind and they form a bond that just can't be broken. I've always said that the power of the pen is mightier than a sword in the field. Words have the distinct advantage of changing the world for a better place.
