Re: I'm chilled already and we haven't had our first snowfall.

Pat_B, I never begrudge the heating bill in the cold winter, and it is one of the things I always count as my blessings.

Re: FomerStudentIntern

You do not beat around the bush when you want to say something.  I agree with you on this.  I also Thank God for heat....well except in the middle of a 100 degree summer.

Re: Good afternoon

It doesn't surprise me at all that you are a Farmers Almanac fan.  You always know about so many things.

Re: Sea_Gypsy

Such a beautiful sunny day today.  I shall store up some heat for a snow day.

Re: Annicita

Actually, I was kind of hoping friends and family would pick this day to totally ignore me so that I would have an opportunity to count my blessings and be thankful and not eat more than I need to eat.  My family is so solicitous it is tiring to me in my old age, but I would never tell them such a thing.

I'm sorry I missed this post earlier. Let's hope that the heating bills somehow go down and that Winter is milder than expected. I remember moving out West as a real small child and my dad was absolutely thrilled to be out of the cold. My mom, well, she liked it cooler, I think, and she loved the fog. Take care and yes, stay warm.

Good afternoon

If the last few days have been any indication, I have already experienced that bone-chilling weather. I believe that it will be a severely harsh winter. I follow the Farmer's Almanac too. They are a well of information.

Thank God for heat, I say.

I'm chilled already and we haven't had our first snowfall.

And I'm willing to pay a bit more to keep the furnace blowing one degree warmer.

Re: Good Afternoon

I'll always love winter, but I sure don't like being cold anymore.  LOL

Good Afternoon

Taps, I get much colder now than I used to.  When I was young I could play outside for hours and I would come in and I'd be like an icicle I'd be so cold.  Now if I'm in the house with the fireplace going, the furnace on, and the electric heater turned on I still need my blanket when I sit on the couch to watch tv.  What can I say?  I have to be warm.  I do like to see the beautiful snow coming down though.  I've always loved winter but now I like it from the inside looking out.  We used to make igloos and they were actually warm inside.  The kids love to make snow angels.
