Re: Re: Goldiec,

No turkey this year! We're having lamb, and some chicken and a vegan 'turkey' with stuffing. I also am glad to have dispersed the tasks to others!

Re:

Ciel, every year I usually do most of the cooking but this year I do have help and I'm very thankful for it.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.  Are you making a turkey?

Re:

Kabu, I'm so sorry your housemate will not be home for Thanksgiving.  I was wishing the best for him.

Re:

Sassy, I know your ham is going to be delicious and everyone will love it.  I hope you can get to your daughter's house safely on Thanksgiving.  I'm praying for the best for all of us. We've all had a couple really hard years!  I think it's amazing we made it through it all.  I've never seen anything like all of this in my life.  I have to say I believe you are a very strong woman and your family is fortunate to have you.

Re: Good afternoon

Sassy, thankfully Roy is healing and there's just a little swelling left to go down.  I'm really worried about John.  I hope the doctors come up with a plan.  I don't like the sound of any of it.  I know you will take good care of him while he is home.

Re: Sounds like a lot of prep is under way for the feast. I can feel my

Pat, I was thinking the same thing.  I usually don't eat a lot on the holiday because I'm so tired from making all the food.  This year I have lots of help so hopefully, I don't eat too much.

Re:

C_C_T, I cannot imagine what your friend went through when he had his too pulled.  Roy was in so much pain and they numbed his tooth all up before they pulled it.  His face was even swollen from the abscess.  He's on the mend now though thank goodness for antibiotics.

You're such a feast-maker!  I'm getting more into deligating lately.

I am thinking that I should pull my ham out of the freezer on Wednesday. I am going to glaze it with the Pioneer Woman's orange glaze. John and I tested it last week on a ham steak. It is really good. It is cold here today. I just pray that the snow holds off until after our drive to the kid's house on Thursday. With the way this week has gone, who knows what will happen next. Have a good day.

Good afternoon

Poor Roy. John and I have both suffered from abscessed teeth. That is worse than childbirth. There simply is no forgiveness where the pain is concerned. I hope that he feels better. John will be off for a while too due to medical reasons. He hobbled off to his last day of work today in pain; hopefully, the ibuprofen will kick in for him. Thank goodness these guys have great women who will baby them and take care of their needs.

Sounds like a lot of prep is under way for the feast. I can feel my

waistline expanding by just reading about it all.

I must say you do make a real effort to provide nice things for your family.

They must feel quite proud of you. I hope your hubby feels better teeth are a

problem at times. A friend of mine had a toothache before he went to work. On the

way home, as he was on shift work,h  called in at the dentist and asked to have the tooth extracted.

The dentist said 'sorry I cannot do it I am not allowed to use anaesthetics my wife

does that and she is not here. 'Take it out.' my friend pleaded.  So he did. The first

time ever so the dentist said.
