You are always so busy. I do hope you enjoy it as much as you do preparing for it.

Re:

Kabu, I know you will have an awesome Thanksgiving!  I'm so glad you are settled in your new home and I'm also thankful Mr. Graysome likes his new home.  It seems like there are more leaves than ever before.  I don't think it's true but that's what it feels like.

Re: I am so thankful that we are all preparing the food.

Sassy, this will be the first time we are having it at one of the kid's houses.  I'm really looking forward to it.  My son has gone all out for all of us.  I do love baking the turkey and he's cooking one too. It will be a nice day.  I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Re: Good afternoon

Sassy, he is such a sweet little boy!  I know he loves to come to visit.

I am so thankful that we are all preparing the food.

I used to do it all, but my girls have been helping out quite a bit these past few years. Our middle daughter will be our hostess this year. All John and I have to do are bake a spiral ham, make the stuffing and a cheesecake, and our work is done. Of course, we all help with the cleanup at the end of the meal.

Good afternoon

Grandsons are the best little helpers. Johnny tries to help me out too and he never forgets to pick a few wildflowers to give to me when he visits.

Re:

FSI, I think Walmart is a whole different world early in the morning.  There are lots of employees stocking shelves but very few people shopping.  It doesn't take long to shop when you go so early.

Re: Roy's a trooper, carrying on in spite of the tooth extraction. Oh, my!

Pat, Roy's had a couple of bad days but hopefully, he's healing now.  It was hard to find a dentist at the last minute but thankfully we did.  My grandson is here now and we are planning the last-minute details.

Re:

C_C_T, it really is sad when our troops cannot be home with their families for the holiday.  Thanksgiving is family time and I hope everyone gets to be with their families at this time.  My daughter-in-law was here this morning and we were going over last-minute details for the big day.

I've never been to Wal-Mart that early. I imagine it must be a bit peaceful to be there at that time.

Roy's a trooper, carrying on in spite of the tooth extraction. Oh, my!

So many details go into a big family celebration. I hope there are no complications.

I am constantly reminded on here how most celebrate Thanksgiving. It felt a bit sad in a way when in the army we watched the Scottish lads go home to celebrate New Year as their special day and we had to do their guard duty.
