Ours go off for no reason! Sadly I don't think he had any. What's more, he had a house full of old photographs. Very flammable.

The trouble is there are lots of things that burn. Our fire-alarms sometimes keep bleeping it is a nuisance.

Cars seem to be a lifetime expense. I don't have blinds in most of my windows, so all I can answer to that one is "Enjoy!"

Our car is three years old with low miles and it failed due to needing new back and front brakes. The total cost was $400. It would be cheaper to walk or ride a bike. If my state didn't have so many hills I would consider it.
