it sounds like a wonderful Summer. 15 for me was an awkward year. Not allowed to have a social life ..deemed too young.... but given chores and had to study as well. I had left Boarding school too young and was between child and young adult.

Re: Sassy - I'm so glad it worked into an "all's well that ends well."
Love the happy ending.

A few restaurants later, I did find that cute brown-eyed hunk. It took me a few years, and a move to another state, but for whatever reason, he asked me to marry him. To this day, he is still my cutie pie.

Good afternoon
These are some really sweet memories. My first job was similar to yours, only I didn't get the eventual kiss under the moon from a cute brown-eyed boy. Good for you for knocking it outta the park.

Good Morning
Pat, this really does sound like a wonderful summer! I wonder if you had stayed there if that one kiss would have become something more?

I remember summers as magic times when great growth spurts of self-knowledge happened, and sweet adventures that could happen, and sometimes did, and sweet sorrows as they ended. Being away from the tensions and frustrations at home was the best!
