The stores here are well-stocked. There are holes but those are mainly saltines etc.

Re: Good afternoon
Sassy, we've had snow off and on since yesterday. We did have hot cocoa and we really enjoyed it. I hope you stay warm on these cold days. I only have a few items left on my list to get for Thanksgiving. I'm really looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my family. This has been quite a year!

Re:
Kabu, I'm glad you are in the house where you are toasty warm. Do you know how cold it can get where you are now? Our temps can go well below zero.

Good afternoon
It's smart to get your Thanksgiving shopping done early. It is really cold here today too. It definitely feels like winter. My mom puts sour cream in her mashed potatoes. I only do it when I make the loaded mashed potatoes, otherwise, I use half & half or cream and butter. Bundle up, it's a great day for hot cocoa and a good book or a movie.

It is 33F. here so is rather cold. Still the house is warm and that is the main thing because we won't be going out today.

Re: I'm fixing Thanksgiving dinner for my boys this year. Not expecting
Pat, Oh how I wish I could have a piece of your pecan pie. I can almost taste it. I just saw a segment on the "Kitchen" and they made a turkey breast. It looks so good. I think there's a lot to be said for families staying home and enjoying the holiday.

I'm fixing Thanksgiving dinner for my boys this year. Not expecting
anyone to travel, thanks to Covid fears and our mutual hatred of crowded traffic situations, either on the road or in the air. It will be simple, a turkey breast that's ready to cook, packaged stuffing mix, stuff that this old Grandma Patch can juggle and put on the table in a reasonable time. Frozen pecan pie for dessert, but I do whip my own cream, and mash my own potatoes...

Re:
FSI, I sure hope the prices come down. Gas prices are really high too!

Prices have sure gone crazy over the last few months. I'm hoping things settle down in a hurry.
