Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

This great story brought back an old memory from when I was a child. The church and school used to quietly make food donations at holidays and a relative was on the list. My mom was shocked. I remember listening to her tell my dad, all hush-hush.

Sometimes it is really harder to receive than to give.

Good afternoon
Pride can be a serious soul sucker. Everyone needs a helping hand once in awhile. In my mind, these humbling experiences can always be paid forward once the tide turns. Have a great day.

Good Morning
Pat, I love the generosity of people during the holidays. So many people count on Food Drives to make their holiday special. People would go without during hard times. I think now more than ever we need our food pantries. All summer there were designated areas around Cleveland that people could drive up and they would give them food. So many companies have closed and it was a God-send for those in need. I can understand how Sandy felt but I would rather her family had a nice meal for the holiday than go without.
