Hope you had an enjoyable day. I hadn't made a spice cakes in over 25 years and last week that's what my daughter asked me to bake for her birthday-with cream cheese frosting! It was good. Enjoy yours.

Kabu, I have never liked it too hot but I can also say I like to be in the house when it's freezing outside. We have our heated mattress pad on our bed and it's going to be toasty warm tonight.

I much prefer the cold but have to get used to the fact again. I was outside but came in when it was getting too cold.

Sassy, we just got home and I'm going to make my spice cake in a little while. Roy brought out the heated mattress pad and I'm going to fluff it up in the dryer and we are going to put it on the bed. It is so cold outside right now. Your bedroom sounds beautiful. I love the colors you picked. Stay warm and enjoy your day.

FSI, after being outside for a while this morning I was just happy to come home. The wind is adding to the frigid temperatures. I wouldn't be surprised if it did snow.

Pat, when we did our errands today the wind was blowing and it was so cold. I'm glad to be back home where it's warm. A good book does sound good on a day like today.

Good afternoon
I haven't had spice cake in years. As I remember, it is delicious. It's chilly here today too. We plan to run and finish up our shopping. I completely changed up our bedroom from the curtains to the comforter, accent pillows, and the dust ruffle. I went with warm sand, gold, and soft brown hues over the old blue tones. It is so cozy and pretty. All that's left is for me to apply chalk paint and the new bronze knobs to our antique dresser. It's a work in progress. Hope you have a great day. Stay warm.
