Ciel, you amaze me. We do put banana peels in the garden along with coffee grounds but I never boil them on the stove first. I've never made beets myself. We buy the ones in the can. We've always liked them. Our produce in the stores is looking kind of iffy right about now. I'm going to need celery and onions for Thanksgiving and I hope I can find some that look good. I use it in my stuffing.
