My husband loved me as much as I loved him, as much as possible; however, he still always said the most important thing in his life was to hang onto his sobriety. If I had come between him and his daily battle to stay sober, he would have had to choose sobriety over me. One day at a time. I will pray to the God of my understanding for you tonight.
