When my youngest daughter started college one of the first new things was turning in assignments online. It must have been one of the first places ever to do that!

Good afternoon
Funny you should mention this. Our granddaughter Chloe spent the weekend with us. She let me know that she brought all of her assignments with her. I asked her where her books were? She pointed to her school laptop and informed me that everything was on that one device. 
She is only in the sixth grade. I mean, seriously.

Yes, I expect one could do things like difficult fractions or not have to attend History lessons. It's all on Google.
