The trouble is Pat, we have about half an acre, and it is also planted with fruit trees.
The Dahlias, as I told Kabu, have grown so large, there are so many flowers; Archie has been cutting 6 bucketfuls a day just dahlias and there are other perennials. I'll admit it is for a good cause as well as some of the proceeds go to a local Hospice.

I know Kabu I moan about it each year. The real problem is the Dahlias we have not had a winter to nobble them and they are massive. I just feel I must carry on or go under,

Well. it would not make any difference because he sells the flowers on a stall outside his house in the town and his wife makes jams etc. they are O.K really but I wish they would plan holidays better.. They have raised quite a bit for charities so they have a certain immunity.

He does this every year Sassy. Last year we had rows of sweet peas and I had to keep cutting the flowers and letting them fall to the ground or the plants would have run to seed. I have to put up with it because I have known him since he was in nappies.
