Unfortunately there are always people who rebel against the common sense things to do for themselves and for the other people. It is sad they have to be bribed to get it done!

C_C_T, they picked up the old couch around noon. I was glad they came early. We were lucky that it didn't rain.

I hope you enjoy your new couch, It is a bit frustrating when one waits for a pick up of older furniture, I always hope it does not rain.

A new piece of furniture brightens a room. I'm not crazy about having to pay people to do the right thing, but the results are what counts, I'm thinking.

Maryland, earlier in the summer, did a lottery with different cash prizes. I didn't win anything, unfortunately.

Pat, I totally agree with you but this is what our Governor thinks is the best plan. I question the way things have been done since this pandemic arrived at our doorstep. I also believe it's the powers that be that caused the people to refuse to go to work. They were giving out so much money for free and I never agreed with that. I know there will be people that disagree with me but this is how I feel.

I'm a little p-o'd that they're giving out gift cards and scholarships
now to bribe people to get vaxxed against Covid. You'd think saving your own life and protecting your family would be reward enough. On the other hand, a scholarship will keep the recipient in school and on the way to a productive life instead of coughing his lungs up in an ICU.
