Yes, rain is very welcome. We just do not seem to get as much as we user ground is on old limestone, which drains very quickly. I was so envious when I saw on the television in Holland A man pushed a cane deep down into the earth that was some soil depth.

Yes, it does take time the plants have grown so big and it is a job to keep up with cutting the flowers. What I hate is at the end of the season they have to be cut down and because they take a long time to decompose we have to fill bins for the council waste and it is not cheap.

Sadly most folks have cemented their front gardens, to save putting cars in the garage. I think it is a little treat for oneself to buy flowers, of course, we sell them very cheaply. One fifty a bunch. I suppose a cup of coffee is three pounds. Also part of the proceeds goes to a hospice and some to the air ambulance. I do get a payment it just about covers the water and etc.

I was not looking forward to doing it, we have two hundred Dahlias, and they have grown to a massive size. Wickedly I hoped for a hard winter as they are so much work and must be tied to a cane and picked regularly. Hope you are O.K. Wood is very short and we have been told not to burn greenwood. Mr K. A. Keeps cutting pallets some folk will buy rubbish if it is cheap.

That is quite the flower business that you have going on. I would think that funerals, weddings, Mother's Day, and Valentine's Day are big flower selling days.
