Not really. I try to make whatever I use from scratch.

Re: Re: You're welcome. This is one of my favorite blogs.

Sauces are like the cherry on top of a sundae.

Re: Re: Re: Lol on the hate cilantro spiel.

The smell of it makes my nose leap back from it! But I do like parsley and also basil, another strong aromatic herb. I don't care for mint, and really hate spearmint. Doublemint gum... the smell of it makes me gag! Oddly, peppermint works for me if mixed with chocolate!

Re: sassyass,

Thank you for that feedback! Sharing cooking ideas is exactly what this blog is about. We who are the kitchen cooks have so much experience to share!

Sauces really dress up something simple like scrambled eggs.

Re: Re: Lol on the hate cilantro spiel.

Either you love it or you don't. I have heard people say that it tastes like dirty socks. I only use it in homemade salsa but only sparingly. It is very overpowering. I much prefer to use parsley or Mexican oregano in place of cilantro.

Good evening

I love it when you post about your meals. It gives me ideas for things that I can make. I can almost bet that your house smells good enough to eat when you are making these recipes that you talk about. I have never used those simmer mixes due to them having so many ingredients and preservatives. I usually make my own by using one or more of the following that includes wine, onions, butter, heavy cream or 1/2 &1/2, broth, garlic, herbs, and spices.

Re: Goldiec,

There are so many flavors! I have the 'butter chicken' still on the shelf, another Indian flavor, but there are others I have not yet tried. I look at labels to check sugar/carb content, and ingredients to avoid stuff like cilantro. I've got the hate-cilantro gene!

Good Evening

Ciel, I've never used the simmer sauces but they sound good.
