A lovely fresh ripe peach!!!!! I haven't had once for years. They are all picked green so never really ripen and have little flavor. maybe a market would be the place to buy one.

Some days it is just impossible to be in a great mood and be the cheery person we all would like to be. Tomorrow is a new day. Pancakes sound delish.

Good Afternoon
Pat, all the things that you point out are so true and it's a sad part of our world in 2021. When 2020 ended I was thinking it's good that it's over and we can start fresh with a new year. Well in hindsight 2021 has had its fair share of disasters. COVID is the main topic for all of us but now the natural disasters are running neck and neck with the pandemic. Let's not even mention Afghanistan and the troubles there. At this point, I think we have to make our own happiness any way we can. This was a great post. I love the way you presented it.

Re: That book festival would certainly liven me up.
Sassyass, I'm not involved with the book festival. Just found out it was called on account of rain. I am uncertain whether they will reschedule.

That book festival would certainly liven me up.
I am guessing that you will be a featured author at this event? If not, the sight of books is sure to bring you a smile.

Good afternoon
You're right, it is hard to find happiness in the middle of a worldwide shitstorm. Everywhere you look there is some catastrophic event taking place. I fear for my parents who live near Tahoe. They still are having issues with the air quality and the ability to breathe. My sister and a few Blogit friends, and my immediate family just endured heavy rains, high winds, and flooding. Today the sun is shining and all appears to be calm, giving me a slice of hope, no matter how small it is. Hope your day gets brighter.

Re: CCT
Thank you for your comment. I love the pink hat idea. Do you tuck flowers in the brim? That would be very festive. Look forward to reading you again today.

Well, Pat this year I have been taking beans to neighbours no excuse this year. Sadly they nearly all look a lot older. So I have started to wear a pink hat, although I have still got plenty of hair which I put down to brushing my hand through it when I sold paraffin. As you can see I have returned like the bad penny.
