It sounds like an interesting topic and I myself had worked with an idea similar but never finished it. I look forward to reading your story.

dating changed dramatically once HIV was known to cross over into wives and girlfriends. I too am looking forward to more of your story. maybe it could be within once of the defendants times past.

Thanks for the inspiration.

After reading your post, I decided to look around at various articles and statistics for dating over the years. I found quite a bit of interesting data.

I can't even begin to imagine dating today.

Between online dating sites, the COVID, and a lack of actually meeting people in person versus the internet is a strange phenomenon to me. I'm old-fashioned, so it would never work for me. A good one-on-one conversation in person tells a thousand stories about a person's character, personality, and true nature. I am just so thankful that I am married and do not have to deal with dating a stranger.

Good afternoon, I got really lucky

My friends and I went to the club every Wednesday and Friday after work. Dancing and ladies' night was a big deal then. Playboys and military men were always looking for a one-night stand despite the warnings of HIV and STDs. You really had to be careful. I worked on the Navy base in Nevada, so meeting men wasn't an issue, it was meeting the right one that was the real problem. John walked into my job at the enlisted club in April of 1986 and I knew without a doubt that he was the man that I wanted to marry. He has proven to be an amazing dad, husband, best friend, and provider.

Good Morning

Pat, I remember dating in High School but nothing special stands out for me.  A boy would ask me out and I would go on the date.  They were all very nice.  I was always clueless.  I never knew when a boy actually liked me.  I met my husband when I was beginning my senior year and the rest is history.  I think all the rules have changed since COVID came along.  The problem is that I don't know what the rules are.  My granddaughter Natasha is 15 and she's had a boyfriend for about a year.  He's very nice and I think the world of him.  He's now one of my Facebook friends.  I can only hope for the best in this world that we live in.
