Re: Good morning

Sassy, I'm waiting for it to cool off!  The storms will start any minute now.

Goldiec

I have one of my small fans on low like a breeze, in 98 degrees, feeling outside over 100.

It is a nasty hot day even way up here in Canada. We hadsome rain last night so that helped the garden.

Good morning

The news keeps showing the storm system for Pittsburgh that is moving in from Cleveland, so we are getting your remnants. I am loving the rain. My peppers and tomatoes are simply bursting from the intervals of sun and rain. Of course, our grass is also now in need of a trim, but I am enjoying the sound of rain during the night. It is so peaceful.

Re: I can remember a very few times when we've had heat waves like

Pat, climate change is really starting to scare me.  We are in Cleveland and it feels like we moved to Florida.  It feels like the earth is off its axis.  Then sometimes I stop and think maybe some scientist somewhere has his finger on the heat button and won't take it off.  I know that is not a rational thought but it explains everything in a much simpler form.

I can remember a very few times when we've had heat waves like

this summer's - and they were in smaller geographic areas, over more quickly. It seems never a day passes we don't hear of deadly fires, terrible wind and rainstorms, mother nature on the warpath. I hope fall brings a temperate season and some recovery for those who've been hurt by the effects of climate change.

Where I'm at, some leaves have started to change colors. I'm thinking that might mean we're in for an early fall.
