Re:
Kabu, I'm glad that you and Mr. Graysome are resting. I hope you stay cool. It's been so hot here and with the storms, it's been unreal. I hope you have a good night.

Corbin, I try to stay away from Twisters no matter where they are. In 1999 a twister hit our house and property where we still live. What a mess that was. It took the whole summer to get everything back to normal but we lost a lot of trees and windows and the garden and the list goes on and on. It was so scary.

Re: When I was a kid there was a time when our house was going
Pat, I thought everywhere had storms like we do. I didn't realize it is different in other places. Our storms are wicked. There were storms all around us today. A lot of people have no electricity and there are a lot of trees down in the area. In Xenia, Ohio they had an F-5. The thought of that scares me. They say if you survive and F-5 you were meant to. They are so bad.

Sassy, I love the movie Twister and have watched it many times but it's on TV. I've been in 3 tornadoes and they are scary

Re: Good afternoon
Sassy, I can understand the girls being afraid of the vaccine but I hope they change their mind and get it. Tonight they said we had over 3300 new cases today.

It is not much of a day up here either but i have the A/C on but not too cold because my friend Aurthuritis plays games up and down my poor tired spine and legs but the fan is over head. I am leaning back against pillows on my bed and Grasome is asleep cuddled up to his Llama so we are actually comfortable.

I've see two twisters out west. I had a busload of people, so we stopped and the took some great pictures.....(It was moving away from us)

When I was a kid there was a time when our house was going
through a renovation, and for a couple weeks or so one wall of the future living room was just the bare studs where the old siding had been removed. We stood between those studs but under the shelter of the roof to watch a storm move through the area a couple miles distant - the lightning was spectacular. But storms there in eastern Washington state were not the violent crashing winds like we have in Illinois and Ohio - so it was mostly a show and not much of a threat. The storm chasers you describe, I agree - not a game I'd play.

We have watched Twister a dozen times. I like a good thrill, but not of that variety.

Good afternoon
It is hot and humid here too, especially after last night's rain shower. Those COVID numbers are staggering. I worry about my kids and their friends. Our oldest got the vaccination but the two younger ones don't want it. All I can do is pray that they will listen to the voice of reason.

I would never chase a storm either. I would run from one but never to one.

Corbin, I lived in Arkansas for 5 years and it was 110 in the shade. Fires would start in the fields for no reason. It could be worse but I don't like the heat.
