sliced cucumbers and onions in a vinegar, sugar and salty brine
and chilled in the fridge make for a refreshing summer treat. Vidalia (sweet) onions are the best. And they're low calorie, so much better for us than chips.

Good evening
I have had it made the way that you make it. Delicious! I make mine with vinegar, oil, dill weed, pepper, salt, sugar, green or purple onions, and thinly sliced cukes.

My mom had a similar recipe, I think she had it from a Hungarian friend who also put paprika in it. There was also one without the sour cream, more of a vinegrette type dressing. Yum!
