We'd love a good long rain here to clear out the smoke! But it isn't in the forecast this week, at all.

We keep being promised rain every day up here. Well it is overcast but no rain. I put some water out yesterday because it is so dry and the garden was wilting.And I am so tired.

A nice, gentle "female" rain is almost always welcome - except maybe
on the afternoon of a garden wedding. We're possibly getting thunderstorms this afternoon - which will cool it down from the upper 90s, but we don't need one of those pounding gullywasher rainfall days.
