Re: These are all stunning properties that are probably worth every penny spent

Joe Love and I decided to start a travel company called Travel Crazy.  We were in Lexington then.  The University of Kentucky had huge followings for Basketball trips.  So Joe Love and I focused on the sports travel route.

UK was in the Maui Classic 5 times, so we jumped on it!  We would make it a 7 day trip.  I was in Maui and the other islands all 5 times.  Went to Alaska Shoot-out 3 times, and Carribean Classic 4 times. When Joe died from a heart-attack, I knew  it was all over.  I continued for 3 years. and just lost the motivation, and retired.

Wow, beautiful properties and it must take a fortune to keep them so picture perfect as well. They look like Old Money to me ie people who are used to wealth for several generations and don't splash it around in grotesque ways like the newly rich some times do.

Re: Re: I have never thought of Kentuckian's as being dumb hicks.

The statistics show a very different side to the state of Kentucky. The derby brings in megabucks, and there are many wealthy politicians and sports figures from Kentucky. One of my favorite chefs is from Louisville, Damaris Phillips is a Food Network star and I just love her.

No good for me Corbin I could not afford a Butler. Of course they would all be a good investment . I once saw a nice cottage with garden 200 pounds I thought ath the time that is a bargain but it was in a lonley village.

My pick would be the first one.

A horse ranch next to water is my idea of luxury, relaxation, and beauty wrapped all up in one box with a bright red bow. My dream though is to live by the ocean which I plan to do once retirement allows for such a thing.

Thank you for sharing. Kentucky is a beautiful state. I have driven through it a few times and I just love it. We have those million-dollar homes here in Pittsburgh too, but I would rather spend my money on travel and live a lot less frivolously.
