Re:

Ciel, I absolutely love zucchini.  I could eat it every day.  I think they are good for us too!  Our chipmunk is crazy!

Re:

Kabu, I think if your gnomes spent a couple weeks with Sg. Mulberry, they would come home with a brand new attitude.  He is strict but all my gnomes love him.

Re:

C_C_T, my neighbor told me the cat is back.  I think that might be why the squirrels have been missing for a while.  We don't have pigeons in the yard.  I do wonder where our birds went though.  I wonder if they know something I don't know.

Re: Sounds like there'll be good eatin' in the neighborhood, and you won't

Pat, our squirrels dig up our seed too.  I think the chipmunks' help.  We love sweet potatoes but we didn't plant any in the garden.  I think next year we are going to move the garden.  It's been in the same place for years and years.

Maybe your little chipster was the one who visited here the other day!

That zucchini recipe sounds tasty, I will have to try it when I get a couple more on the vines.

perhaps the birds have plenty of food seeds etc. at present. We have several wild pigeons I just feed them with the food the cat leaves as I think the cat has found another home because it does not appear to be very hungry.

even have to leave home for it.  I am also enjoying this break in the extreme heat we'd been having - managed to get a little yard work done, planted a sprouted sweet potato in the big pot out front, and those vines are taking over the whole thing. I don't expect there will be any new sweet potatoes growing - but at least these have survived long enough to become vines. In previous attempts, the squirrels dug them up and dragged them out in the yard to chew on them.  Little nuisances sometimes.

Re: Re: Thank you

Tonight I plan to make John his favorite spicy, panko-crusted pan-fried pork chops, stuffing, and veggies. We have a busy week planned with plenty of fun stuff to see and do. The demo derby, the Dawson sunflower farm, dancing in the street, and the California, PA sunflower fields are where we will be this week. I hope that you have a great day as well.

Good afternoon

I agree. This is a perfect day for reading. I bet that your house smells good enough to eat. Roasting vegetables always smells amazing. Have a great day.
