I've thought about this for a while, too. I wonder if the wild world is getting it more than it used to, that humans can be helpers, even rescuers, and that knowledge of this spreads as awareness grows. Then again, maybe we just hear about such events more often, and it always has happened.
I've also thought that perhaps there is a kind of psychic 'internet' between animals that we lost contact with when we chose intellect over instinct.

Perhaps birds are changing and feel the need for company. I suppose they could grow more intelligent in time. Even suggest they might want to come indoors for Winter. That is something else your photo project.

If dinosaurs, now known to have had feathers, some of them, if they were like birds today for color and pattern, how gorgeous that world must have been!

Beautiful
I love birds. I have a variety of them that visit my feeders on a daily basis. I was told that our Hummingbirds travel all the way from Mexico. Birds are such amazing creatures.
