Re: CCT,

Bees and butterflies! Yes, more mature people, of whatever age, understand this well! On the other hand, those who don't or don't want to know are probably very angry people who see internet posting of their discontents as freer of consequence than being rude to someone in person.

The distance also, I've found, lets me think about my reactions to perceived rudeness before I hit 'send.' Taking time to think has actually brought me to a greater social maturity, too.

Re: Re: Goldiec,

Ciel, sometimes I just have to let everything go and get my work done but I always check on everybody at some point during the day.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Re: Goldiec,

I welcome your posts and your comments that are so conversational! I don't keep up with either Twitter or Instagram, though I think I have accounts with both that I started when I was doing some work that required social media connection. Otherwise, I'd never get anything else done!

Re: sassyass,

My first post was in January 2005. My first blog was How the Universe Looks to Me, back in the day when I thought that was the most interesting thing I had to write about. There were more readers back then, and more conversations happening in the comments.

I think there were more arguments back then, as well. There were some notable and generally upsetting and unpleasant 'flaming' incidents. Now, it seems to me, most--though not all--Blogit Folk keep their disagreements to themselves. Myself, I don't have patience for those who provoke for fun or mess with peoples' heads, and have blocked a couple of posters for cause. In 16 years, only three--one of whom had gone over some kind of mental/emotional edge and became actually threatening. (I understand that at his end, he was put in care, and his computer was taken away.)

I'm glad of you, too. Your creative endeavors confirm my urge to

paint something or write some nonsense or other - to just take a few minutes to take in a deep breath and notice the patterns and changes around me. Inspirational.

Well, I suppose, we settle down here like bees on a flower. Reluctant to sting, knowing harsh words have power and still stick in the mind even after a shower.

Good Evening

Ciel, I haven't been here too long but I really enjoy everyone's posts.  I spend a lot of time on Facebook, Twitter, and sometimes Instagram too.  Sometimes I run out of time in the day because I still need to get all my work done.  I hope you have a good evening.

Good afternoon

I'm not sure how long you have been a Blogit member. I have been here since 2003, just a year after they put up the site. I left in 2012 and didn't return until 2020. I am happy to see that many of the same members are still here. The writing does have its breaks, and Facebook does appear to take precedence at times. Copying and pasting memes are a fun way to share funny and interesting thoughts, sites, and things that others may not know about. I find that I learn a lot from many of my fellow bloggers about fun places to travel, history, world news, and human interest stories. There is no judgment here on Blogit like there is on Facebook. I love that the most.
