Good Morning

Ciel, your garden is awesome.  We have some really nice zucchini from our garden but no tomatoes yet.  I promised my homemade sauce to family and friends.  I will make many batches throughout the season.  I usually make it in the crockpot and then freeze it for dinners.  I use my sauce for chili, spaghetti, sausage and the list goes on and on.  Our peppers will soon be ready to pick.  I hope you have a good day.  I really enjoy your photos.

Re: Pat,

I will be content to have just enough for my own table this year! But if next year's crop is as much an improvement as this year's over last years, there will be enough for other tables, too!

I used to plant tomatoes out in the garden using those wire cages to

help them stay upright after the fruit got heavy. It was weird how the less fussing I did the more they prospered. I gave 'em away to friends & co-workers, made tomato sauce and canned it, and we enjoyed a lot of lovely sliced tomatoes that summer. Thanks for the reminder.

Re: CCT,

I expect, like most animals, humans included, the neglect of diligent hygiene promotes antibodies against the less-lethal germs.

Got to be careful with tomatoes if they dry out they can get blossom end rot. My neighbour gets it every year I don't think he waters them properly. So much for hygiene, I suppose the doves have to balance it against safety.
