You're right, dear friend - what she did took courage. We've all had to step up and stand strong from time to time - and it's clear these days that the stress of it all can be too much for some, send them spinning in dangerous reactions. I just feel lucky when life is boring these days, when neighbors wave as they walk their dogs, when the kids run and yell on the playground, when other shoppers observe a courteous distance and wear their masks, even when they're fully vaccinated. Boring is good.

Sadly things lie dormant in the mind and a bad feeling can arise and one feels
hopeless to deal with it. Thankfully you know some of your young pains and can
neutralize them out, hopefully. Sadly I expect we all have many bad thoughts locked
away and some cannot deal with such memories. Your Mother was a heroine I know
she was strong-willed, but what she did took some courage.

Like many other women, I too was a part of the "Me Too" epidemic. I am so sorry that you endured such a life changing trauma at such a young age. It is not something that is easily talked about. It started for me when I was five and thankfully stopped when I was nine. I felt shame, embarrassment, and I wondered how nobody knew what was going on right under their noses. I also believe that the statistics go deeper than 1 in 4 women.

Deliberate stupidity irks me as well. I have had enough of the COVID conspiracy theories to last a lifetime. I just want to get back to the land of the living. I hope that your day gets better.
