Good Afternoon
I love the fact that he made a comfortable life for himself and had everything he needed. He appeared to be very self-sufficient. That's all anyone can hope for in life. It's too bad about his wife though but he was better off without her.

I guess that it made him feel better to blow that memory off of the wall. If he came from Pennsylvania, it must have been on the border of West Virginia. Shotguns are popular in those parts, especially around Greene County.

Good afternoon
He settled in just fine. He is a handy guy. I love the look of cedar shakes. They are popular in New England and I have seen them around the beach.

Well, that was one way of shattering a relationship. I expect life was tough for most folk. All in all, it does not sound like the most desirable place to live.
