It's good to read of your SIL's spirits remaining high. I cannot imagine all that she is going through.

C.C.T

I let one live and then brought outside in a bag when it had two babies, one went out - cannibalism sir. I waited for the right time.

I don't know what your soil is like it might be wise to buy a bag of soil compost suitable for carnations or pinks if you want to grow on pots.

Re: Annicita

Really A. I have two peony bushes but quite honestly I have never picked any from or thought they might have a scent.

Re:Pat

Yes more comforting than growing a marrow. nearly everyone loves a bunch of scented flowers.

I think being able to raise flowers must be a talent that brings joy

to life, especially as it brings so much to everyone who comes in contact. Any day is improved when there's a flower in bloom, a bird song, or a smile among friends as they reflect on the weirdness of life.

That is very kind of you. I love the scent of peonies.

I love scented carnations. Mother used to grow beautiful carnations but they don't do well up here.

I have learned that learning is a life long process.

I am o.k. with that. I enjoy learning something new every day. It keeps things on an even keel.

Good afternoon

Pink carnations are one of my favorite flowers. I have never attempted to grow them but maybe I should give them a go. From what I just looked up, they appear to enjoy four hours of sunlight and they do best in the spring and fall.
