Good Afternoon

Pat, thank goodness the contractor mentioned the items he found.  I think it's an awesome find.  A person never knows what they are going to find in an old house.  Roy and I stopped to get a chef salad this afternoon and while he was in the restaurant picking up our food I was looking around at the houses in the area.  There were two really big older homes.  Roy and I both figured they were from the 1800s.  I mentioned to him that I wondered why the older homes had so many windows.  He said back when the houses were built they may not have had electricity and during the day the light came in through the windows.  I never thought about that. Big families would have definitely had enough room in these homes.  The thought of cleaning them though would be something I would not want to do.  I came home to my house and was glad to call it home.

Sadly not all folk even know of relations beyond the obvious ones. It does seem that the past is soon forgotten. Although when presented like this it must be intriguing.

Good afternoon

An awesome find! This is exciting news. I love it when people research history and get the names, dates, and the when, what, and where down pact. It is great that the contractor located the photos so that the rightful owner may be contacted and given the chance to travel down memory lane.
