I've been enjoying the lightning bugs who show up just as dusk gathers,
and this brings a spark of fun to the day's end for me. I wish they bloomed all summer, but it's usually for only a few weeks. Such a surprise for me when I moved here a zillion years ago - we didn't have fireflies in western Washington where I grew up.

This is the first year I haven't used the rain barrels. Just too many Mosquitoes.

Good afternoon
I use the rainwater from my rain barrel. Surprisingly, we have not had mosquito issues, but the Carpenter ants keep invading my Hummingbird feeders. It is a hot one today in Pittsburgh but the rain has promised us a visit later today.
