The collapse of the high rise condo will, I hope, focus some
well-deserved attention on building codes and practices - and maybe get the powers that be to look into the "sister" buildings nearby before they collapse too. No doubt some of us are re-thinking the idea of moving out of the house we can no longer keep up with and into a senior facility. When profit is the motive and money the bottom line, human life seems to be expendable.

Good afternoon
Saltwater is hard on metal construction beams. They should have stayed on top of maintenance every few years, not decades. It's a shame that it took something like this to get them on the right track with their inspections.
