Re:
Corbin, it sounds like you are going to have fun. Your church has a big congregation. That is really nice.

Sassy, I've found some really useful things at the Dollar Store. I think you found the best one of all. A grill for $25 is quite a find! Our grill is old.

Joe Love's family is having cookout after church on Sun. Our church has 4300 members and their picnic after church is going to be a doosey! So it's 2 picnics on the same day!

I'm not sure if my fairies and gnomes followed me here or if they decided to stay put!

Re:
Kabu, they aren't saying who their friends are but like I said I did overhear the name, Lance. I told them it's fine if their friends come but they have to follow the house rules.

Good afternoon, it is wet and cool here today and I love it!
I love pie! However, I am making another pudding poke cake at the request of my hubby. This time it will be vanilla on a yellow cake with a chocolate ganache topping. As for the bbq, we found a cheap $25.00 grill at the Dollar General that worked out just perfect for Father's Day. We grilled twenty burgers and eight hotdogs in a flash. We had to toss our huge $350.00 grill from years of use, rust, and rain. We had nowhere to store it, so the smaller grill works out well for both cooking and saving space.

My dad went to the foot doctor the other week. He got his toenails trimmed. He's reached that milestone of life because his toenails are too thick for conventional cutting.

Good luck with the foot specialist! I've had various foot problems I thought would last forever, but they didn't. Never have had bone spurs, though.
Sounds like a great weekend planned!
I just saw a chart on choosing the best watermelons... I will see if I can find it again, and put it up in my Kitchen Shenanigans blog.

Pat, to this day I love sparklers. I'm going to try to find some at Walmart when we go.

I remember how the 4th of July was for big family gatherings, and this
included hot dogs and pork steaks, sparklers and little lady-finger firecrackers after dark, and of course, we cut into a big iced watermelon. The one I remember best was the year I was nine, my little sis was six and baby bro was four.
