Absolutely I agree with everything in this Post and the borders won't open until things are settled down and the majority of people are fully vaccinated...we may even need a Booster later in the year.

Of course, a virus doesn't really want to kill its host. It wants to keep spreading.
The latest one does seem to be more contagious or affecting those who have not sought protection. It is still wise to be careful as you suggest.
