Re:
FSI, thank you so much. The new hot water tank is in and we are just waiting for it to heat up. I'm very thankful.

Re:
Kabu, it really has been very stressful. Our water heater is in the laundry room and some water did leak on the carpet but not much thank goodness. The company will not be able to get here until tomorrow so we've got one more day to live without hot water. I did have the hot water tank insured through the gas company so fortunately, I don't have to worry about that. At times like this, I do wish I had a basement but I'm not really crazy about basements.

You poor love. Oh what a horrid thing to happen. You are having an overload time I am so sorry about that. Out hot water tank rusted through one year and water leaked all through the basement. Insurance paid for replacement and also replacement of the carpet everywhere including on the stairs. We were grateful but it was horrid to live through.

Re: I hope there's no tornado or deadly winds, but being cool and
Pat, our water heater had been here over twenty years so we did get a lot of use out of it. Roy kept telling me it was old and I kept hoping it wouldn't become an issue for a while but finally it gave out. That is wonderful that you have a master plumber in the family. I think the rain will be nice for the garden. I love cooler temperatures.

I hope there's no tornado or deadly winds, but being cool and
getting a bit of rain can't be all bad. Your problems with the water heater, etc., makes me thankful my son Rich is a master plumber and doesn't mind helping - he replaced my water heater a few months ago - it had been in the house since I moved in, more than 15 years, so it had served long and well before it gave out.

Re: When those hot water heaters go, they make a mess.
Sassy, I thought I had all my ducks in a row when I bought the insurance but I didn't count on what happened with the wood. It's all finished and it's perfect for the new water heater. I called the company that will be putting in the new heater and they are booked for today so they said they'd be here tomorrow. I asked them to call if someone canceled today. I'll be glad when this is done!

Re: Good morning
Sassy, I know everyone will have a good time at your BBQ. I hope you can eat outside because you have your yard fixed up so nicely. I know your food will be delicious and that chocolate pudding poke cake sounds so good. What kind of meat are you having?

Our tank is on its last legs I have to just heat it up for thirty minutes or it gets red hot. it is not the end of the world though as your hubby said. Be lucky.

When those hot water heaters go, they make a mess.
You certainly have been dealing with hectic at full speed. Our hot water heater went out two years ago, but it is located in our basement, so the water ran down the drain. Luckily you caught the issue and were able to clean up the mess and not be out of pocket for a new one.

Good morning
Animals do have a way of sensing those things. We are expecting the same weather, but not until late this afternoon. It is sunny and hot here at the moment. John is getting the yard ready for tomorrow's BBQ. I am hoping that the rain stops by noon so that we can eat outdoors, but Mother Nature may have other plans. We are shopping later for all of the food. I plan to make a chocolate pudding poke cake.
