Hmm? A twist is coming, I think.

Good Evening
I'm not sure why Phoebe lied about Paul. I think it would have been better to come right out and tell the truth. It's possible she didn't want Isabel to seem like a cheater. I hope George gets put away for life but I'm not sure what's going to happen at the trial. I'm finding it quite odd that Paul left some of his belongings behind in his hotel room. It doesn't make sense to me. I wonder if Paul is okay? I have so many questions. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Good afternoon
I am not sure why she lied about Isabel knowing Paul, but it is going to come back and haunt her. I guess that she was attempting to save her reputation, but this is going to make things worse and somewhat like a coverup.

I am sure she wants to see this brute hang for his cruelty towards his wife and his own mother needs some sort of a wake up call as well for she tormented the girl too.

I believe her denial was to keep Paul Beaucage and her own
involvement as a go-between from coming to light.

A strange reaction, but shock sometimes clouds one's mind. A lot of twists in this story it makes it so readable

I don't know why she denies knowing him. Maybe she feels that she might somehow be implicated in the murder. But then again, he admitted to killing her.
