Re:
Sea Gypsy, do you have air conditioning in your home? I hope you are having a good summer. Having the trees cut down has made our life a little hectic but we are fine. I will be glad when it's all done.

Re:
Kabu, I hope you are staying cool! Do you have air conditioning? I know your gnomes and fairies are enjoying this weather. My gnomes and fairies are a little upset by all the noise in the yard. As soon as we are done with the trees life will go back to normal.

Re: About your trees, etc. You reminded me of the old folk tales
Pat, I've never heard the kids speak of Paul Bunyan. It would be nice to have Babe the blue ox take the logs away. This tree project is a bit overwhelming to me. I will be glad when it's done.

Re:
C_C_T, I'm always amazed at how the men can work in the heat. I couldn't take it. The minute I get too hot I have to go in the air. I've always been like this. How tall are your S.I.L's trees? We have one tree on the other side of the house that is totally brown. I'm not sure what happened to it.

About your trees, etc. You reminded me of the old folk tales
about Paul Bunyan, the legendary giant logger of the northern forests. Are they still using that tall tale in classrooms, I wonder. You could use his help, especially if he brought Babe the blue ox along to help haul away the logs.

It must be gruelling working the trees in the heat. I am always amazed how the chipping machine copes with such large lengths of wood. My S.I.L has large trees at the bottom of the garden leylandii type but I think they have caught a disease as the branches are going brown. We shall have to watch them.

FSI, I think it might be a long week! We've watched Sophie before and she never likes the collar to be put on her.

Sophie the dog sounds like a bit of a handful. I'm sure the collar situation will be solved.
