If only Isabel could have seen into the future she would have known that there was none with George. Paul would have been a much safer choice. Sad.

I think once a pattern is set there is not much chance of achieving a better one.
Things could have been so different. I suppose there is a certain religious element

Good Morning
Oh, how I wish Isabel would have listened to her friend Phoebe. I know she was trying to do the right thing but sometimes it just doesn't work out the way we think it will for all parties concerned. George just happened to be broken and you just can't fix broken. I think he fell under his mother's spell from the time he was a little boy and would listen to what she said. She obviously didn't like Isabel and made things so much worse with her spiteful ways. This marriage was doomed to fail from day one. I wonder if George's father knew what his family was capable of doing? At that point, the blame would fall on his shoulders too.
