It was the style then to make fun of women, wives, mothers-in-law,
etc. Red was funny, and so was Phyllis Diller, who came along later and "put the shoe on the other foot" and made fun of her husband, which got her some negative publicity. But I figure if it's okay to make fun of one spouse, then it ought to be okay to make fun of the other. People are so quirky, and humor is such a good way to let off some steam - I always loved Red Skelton's bits, his talent, etc...

His last wife. He and the one during his series in the 60s he referred to on it as Little Red divorced. Do what I say? Still, we need again him.
