I have lived in Florida for twelve years in various places: Port St. Lucie, Miami, Ocala, Tampa, Avon Park, Sebring, Sarasota, and several others. The big thing is to acclimate to the weather. As Lisa said, it has been near freezing or below here for months, and then BAM! ... 95. If we move down there in October, it will still be warm, but not sizzling. After the cool down of 'winter' there, your body gets use to the warming again.

Have you spent any time in Florida? It can be very hot away from the sea coasts. Be a tourist when you get down there and get you glass of Orange Juice at the Welcome Center.
