I have had the chipped beef version. It isn't too bad, but I found it to be a bit salty.

Mama used to fix it for my dad when he was home from the ship,

apparently it was a staple in the navy at that time. Never much liked it.

I have never tried it. It does bring back memories of a elderly gentleman who wrote about his experiences in the army. That was one of them.

I've never had it. Having seen a photo of it now, it does not appeal to me.

Good Morning

I've eaten the ground meat and gravy version.  My uncle said they used to eat it in the Army.

Re: BC-A, my mom used to make it back in the 70s.

I had the chipped beef version that came in a jar. I believe that the brand was Armor.
