All the best and you will be brilliant. I have always said that one cannot be an author without reading many and varied styles of books, but you can be a reader without being an author.The enjoyment of a book has been my most cherished past time since I was 3.

Yes, read lots to see what does or doesn't work. See different styles. Expand vocabulary. Read different genres to discover one that opens their creativity or inspires them to write their own stories.
