We always kept geese and chickens. I'll admit I have been clawed a few times by an aggressive rooster.

thanks, when we were kids (60's) there was a big move for emigration to Australia. The £10 Pomps scheme had just ended. But seeing as the whole area was dominated by the RAF, many of them wanted to move there. Wish we had.

What an interesting post to read from California. Here we are overrun with coyotes and mountain lions, and the bears come down from the mountains and get in people’s swimming pools!

You live in a fascinating area of the world. Having a high percentage of British DNA, I would love to visit this place. As for those feathered beasts that come equipped with spurs, they can rip a human apart in seconds if they wanted to.
