Hello dear, thank you for calling. I suppose plagues were constant over the world but catching it was low in other countries it is travel that spreads it so quickly.

Yes Pat I have a disk somewhere it simulates the plague and the carts being pulled round as the somewhat fearless drivers called 'Bring out your dead!'

It's something about how "Ring Around the Rosey" is about the plague. I remember learning a few years ago.

We used to sing something like that - Ring around the Rosie
a pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes, all fall down. And there was another one about London Bridge is falling down... One of my early teachers told us the plague story, and how all the nursery rhymes have secret meanings.
