I have to drop my change on pennies in an old kettle to exchange in a Coin Star machine.

Lowest coin i Australia is 5 cents and here in Canada is 10 cents.

I did not think for a minute that you had pennies. A lot of shops won't even take cash since the epidemic, to be honest, I forget what our lowest coinage is but I have a bowl of it.

Re: Sea Gypsy

You would see prices rounded down or up. For intance, instead of a price of $9.99, it would become $9.95.

Good Afternoon

FSI, I like the way you think and it sounds to me like it could work.  I'm not sure what will happen with the penny because the powers that be make decisions that sometimes leave me wondering.

Sometimes different shoes charge prices that require pennies in change. All that would have to be changed before we lose the penny, I think. ?

Your solution holds some merit

I hope they don't abolish the penny. I have a container with almost $200.00 worth of pennies that I have saved over the past few years. It is too heavy to lift, so I will eventually have to roll them all.
